Privacy policy for the ChapterSeek (寻章) iPhone and iPad app.

Effective October 1, 2026

About this policy

This is the ChapterSeek Privacy Policy. It applies to the ChapterSeek iPhone and iPad app, not to other apps that share this support website. ChapterSeek is provided by the individual developer listed on its App Store product page. LongX AI Home is the support-site brand. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to that developer. For privacy questions and requests, use the LongX AI Home contact link.

No account and no In-App Purchases

This release does not require an account and does not include In-App Purchases. ChapterSeek does not upload, host or redistribute novel body text to a developer-operated server.

Information we collect

ChapterSeek does not actively collect information that directly identifies you. The app does not ask you to create an account and does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, Bluetooth or tracking permission.

When you search or open a reading source, the app sends HTTPS requests directly to the public web, OPDS or open-API catalogs you enable, so it can show results, catalogs or chapters. Those requests go to the source you choose, not through a developer account backend.

Information stored on your device

Favorites, bookmarks, reading history, reading progress, reading preferences and source configuration are stored on your device so the app can restore your reading state and improve the local experience. ChapterSeek does not upload this information to a developer server.

This release does not offer an offline body-text cache entry point. If an older version left cached body text in the local sandbox, that content does not enter iCloud Documents and does not become a developer-hosted library.

Third-party public sources

ChapterSeek helps you discover and open public catalogs. Third-party sites may have their own privacy policies, terms and logs. When you visit a third-party source, that source’s own policy applies.

TestFlight test data

If you test through Apple TestFlight, Apple may provide crash logs, diagnostics and feedback you submit to the developer under TestFlight rules, used only to fix issues and improve test builds.

Data sharing

ChapterSeek does not sell your data and does not share favorites, bookmarks, reading history or preferences with advertising networks, data brokers or marketing platforms. Metadata synced through Apple iCloud is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

Diagnostics, advertising and this website

No advertising, cross-app tracking or automatic analytics-upload SDK was identified for this release. This website contains no analytics scripts, embedded third-party fonts or contact forms.

Cloudflare Pages processes website requests to deliver and protect this site; these requests include network information such as your IP address. Website delivery is separate from reading sessions.

Deletion and your choices

Deleting the app removes on-device favorites, bookmarks, reading history, progress and preferences. If metadata previously synced through iCloud KVS, delete the app on each device and manage iCloud data in system settings according to Apple’s guidance. Retention of TestFlight feedback and crash logs follows Apple’s rules.

For privacy questions or deletion requests about support correspondence, use the LongX AI Home contact link.

Children’s privacy

ChapterSeek is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy updates

If a later release adds accounts, a paid unlock for cloud sync or offline cache, payments, advertising, analytics SDKs or other changes to data handling, this policy will be updated before that release. Updates appear on this page with a revised effective date and must also be reflected in the app’s privacy disclosures.
