Read smoothly, at ease.
Setup and help for ChapterSeek (寻章) on iPhone and iPad.
Requires iOS or iPadOS suitable for the App Store listing. ChapterSeek is an on-device reading layout tool. This release has no account and no In-App Purchases.
Get started
- Open ChapterSeek and add or enable the public web, OPDS or open-API sources you want to use.
- Search from those sources and open a result to read.
- Use favorites, history and progress on this device to return to what you were reading.
- Adjust reading preferences in the app for a more comfortable layout.
Search and chapter requests go directly to the public catalogs you enable over HTTPS. ChapterSeek does not host or redistribute novel body text.
What this release does not include
- No sign-in account and no In-App Purchases in this build.
- iCloud Documents sync UI and offline body-text cache UI are hidden.
- If you are signed into Apple iCloud, reading metadata (favorites, history, progress, source profiles) may still sync through Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage. Novel body text is not uploaded to a developer server.
Troubleshooting
Search returns nothing
Confirm at least one source is enabled and that your device can reach that source over HTTPS. Some public catalogs change or go offline; try another enabled source or add a different catalog you are authorized to use.
A chapter will not open
The remote catalog may have changed its page structure or blocked the request. Note the source name, the title, and whether other chapters from the same source open. Email support with the app version and those details.
Favorites or progress look different on another device
This release does not offer iCloud Documents sync. Metadata may sync through Apple iCloud KVS only if you are signed into iCloud on both devices. Body text stays on each device’s local storage.
