Your media, your server.
Help for LongMPlayer on Apple TV and iPad.
Before you begin
LongMPlayer is a client for compatible personal media servers you manage or are authorized to use. Normal browsing needs a reachable server address and access to media you may lawfully play. A LongMPlayer account or subscription is not required. Available features depend on your server and media.
Connect and play
- On first launch, enter the full http:// or https:// address of your compatible server. If the server requires credentials, add them in server settings.
- Choose a server, browse or search, open a title, select an available source and play it with the system player.
- Use Settings to manage servers and, if available in your version, NAS/Jellyfin connections and optional iCloud user-data sync.
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to my server
Check the full address, the device network, your server's availability and any sign-in details. A local server may require local-network permission on iPad. Do not send passwords, API keys or private server URLs to support.
A title has no playable source or subtitles
Check that the server exposes a playable media source and the required tracks. Available subtitle and audio controls depend on the stream and Apple's system player. Include the app version and a non-sensitive description of the issue when contacting support.
Favorites or progress differ across devices
Check whether Sync User Data is available and enabled on both devices, that both use the same Apple account, and the status shown in Settings. Sync may fail or be delayed; local data remains on the device. Do not assume a cloud write succeeded from the switch state alone.
